A visit to the Argolis region, including Mycenae, the Plain of Argos, the bay of Nafplion and the Theatre of Epidaurus, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Leave Athens at approx. 8h20 (a.m.) for the Corinth Canal via the new scenic highway (short stop), then on to Epidaurus to visit the Ancient theatre. Proceed to Nafplion with its Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified islet of Bourtzi afloat in the middle of the  bay (short stop). Then through the plain of Argos onto Mycenae to visit the archaeological site, the Lion's  Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, the Palace and the Tomb of Agamemnon.  After lunch optional stop for souvenirs) return to Athens.
